The Macbook Air M1 is a BEAST

I work at a startup. We started doing some crunch work yesterday, 24 hours before the delivery deadline for our product. I ended up pulling an all nighter with the M1 MBA. I had low expectations but this thing just blew my mind. Almost 7-8 hours of hardcore work, and the battery only dropped from 100% to 25%. Had multiple Docker containers, Android Studio, iOS Simulator instances, a few proprietary CPU heavy apps AND Youtube in Firefox along with tens of other tabs. Everything started instantly from minute 1 to the final moment. No slowdowns, no lags. And this is just the 8GB model!
Was kind of a lifesaver for me because sitting at my desk with my PC was getting painful so I just pulled myself onto the bed with the Air. I don't think I would have been able to do my work this well without this machine.
Kudos to Apple and the Apple silicon team. I can't even imagine how good the M1 Pro and M1 Max Macbooks are going to be. Hope I can get my hands one soon. I'm dizzy and sleep deprived but it feels good. Will probably be dreaming of getting an M1 Max in my sleep. Good night people.

docker 一堆，可买个腾讯云服务器跑测试的 db 之类的服务，本地连接也挺快的

带宽大了很多，不过打开 jetbrain 应该区别不大….

m1 air 升级到 14 寸不太划算

在能忍受的价格内，尽量买高配吧

肯定是 32g 内存，然后 16 寸吧 那就是 16 寸 pro 版本
